Some pots are simply too deep for a conventional tray denester.

The B Series deep pot denester.

Deep pots and tubs create a different denesting problem from conventional trays. Their depth and relatively straight sidewalls make them difficult to remove vertically from a stack. Systems that rely on conventional tray geometry struggle to separate them consistently, while more aggressive mechanical methods risk marking or damaging the rim.

The B Series was developed specifically for this type of product.

Instead of a conventional pick-and-place movement, the B Series holds the pots in vertical magazines and uses suction to pull them individually from the bottom of the stack, with a clamp and release system controlling the pots above. Once separated, the pots are cross transferred onto the production conveyor. On the twin pot version, two pots are separated and transferred on each cycle onto a conveyor; one recent application of that configuration runs at up to 50 pots per minute.

The point is not the mechanism itself. It is that deep containers are presented to the line automatically, without operators continually separating and placing them by hand.

Gentle handling protects the pot.

Deep containers can be relatively lightweight, and a rim damaged before filling or sealing creates problems later in the process. The B Series uses controlled suction separation and guided transfer, avoiding the aggressive mechanical separation that can mark or deform the product.

A dedicated solution to a difficult product.

Unlike the format flexible A, AS and C Series, each B Series is engineered around a particular pot diameter, which is precisely why it is so reliable. Where several products share a diameter but differ in height, variants can accommodate the height differences. It is a specialised answer to a product that defeats universal machines.

Quick answers

Why can a standard denester not handle deep pots?

Deep pots usually lack the draught angle that lets nested packaging separate, so the stack wedges solid. The B Series pulls each pot from the bottom of a vertical stack under clamp control, which is a different principle designed for exactly this product.

Will the B Series damage the pot rims?

No. Separation is by controlled suction and guided transfer. More aggressive methods can mark or deform rims, which matters on any pot that has to seal.

Can one B Series run different pots?

Each machine is engineered around one pot diameter. Where pots share a diameter but differ in height, a variant can handle the range of heights.

Will your pots denest reliably?

Pot dimensions alone do not tell us how well a pot or tub will separate. Wall angle, rim design, material, surface finish, stacking features and manufacturing consistency can all affect performance. That is why PiP tests the actual production packaging wherever possible before finalising the machine solution.
