Website Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These Website Terms of Use apply to your use of the PiP Automation website.
This website is operated by Partners in Packaging Machine Systems Limited, trading as PiP Automation.
Registered in England and Wales. Company No. 07529045. Registered Office: 7 Southgate Industrial Park, Green Lane, Heywood, OL10 1ND, United Kingdom.
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “PiP” mean Partners in Packaging Machine Systems Limited trading as PiP Automation.
1. About this website
This website provides information about PiP Automation, our machinery, engineering capabilities, services, applications and experience in food packaging automation.
The website is primarily intended for business users.
By using this website, you agree to these Website Terms of Use.
These Website Terms relate to use of the website only. The supply of machinery, equipment, tooling, spare parts and services by us is governed by our separate Terms & Conditions of Sale together with the relevant quotation and agreed specification.
2. Website information is not a contractual specification
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and useful.
However, website content is provided for general information only.
Unless expressly incorporated into a written quotation, technical specification or other contractual document issued or accepted by us, information on this website does not form part of any contract between PiP and a customer.
This includes, without limitation:
- machine descriptions;
- production speeds and capacities;
- dimensions;
- performance figures;
- changeover times;
- labour-saving examples;
- return-on-investment figures;
- payback periods;
- packaging compatibility;
- photographs;
- drawings;
- animations;
- videos;
- case studies; and
- application examples.
A customer’s contractual requirements will be those expressly agreed in the relevant quotation, specification and contract documents.
3. Machine performance
References on this website to speeds, outputs, capacities, reliability, changeover times or other performance characteristics are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise in a contractual document.
Actual machine performance can depend upon factors including:
- the dimensions and tolerances of the packaging;
- packaging material and construction;
- nesting characteristics;
- flange geometry;
- surface friction;
- coatings and laminates;
- stiffness and rigidity;
- moisture and environmental conditions;
- packaging consistency;
- product characteristics;
- machine configuration;
- upstream and downstream equipment;
- utilities and control signals;
- operating practices; and
- production conditions.
Published maximum speeds should therefore not be interpreted as a guarantee that every application, packaging format or production environment will achieve that speed.
4. Packaging compatibility
References to plastic, foil, card, paperboard, fibre, moulded pulp, barrier-lined paperboard, MAP, VSP or any other packaging format indicate applications for which PiP equipment may be suitable.
They do not mean that every PiP machine is suitable for every package made from that material.
Compatibility with a specific tray, card, lid, pot, tub, container or other packaging format is subject to assessment and, where appropriate, testing using representative production samples.
Packaging designs and specifications can vary considerably between manufacturers and can change over time.
We therefore recommend that customers discuss new or changed packaging with PiP before relying upon compatibility with existing equipment.
5. Tray and packaging testing
Information provided through our tray-testing or packaging-testing service is based upon the samples, information and conditions available to us at the time of the test.
Test results relate to the samples tested and do not constitute a guarantee that all future production batches will behave identically.
Packaging manufacturing tolerances, storage, transport, humidity, material changes and other factors can affect automation performance.
Where we provide observations, test footage or engineering feedback, these are intended to assist assessment of automation suitability and should be considered together with the final machine specification and agreed contractual requirements.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that samples supplied to us are representative of the packaging they intend to use in production.
6. ROI calculator and payback information
Any return-on-investment, labour-saving or payback calculator made available through this website is provided as an indicative business-planning tool only.
Results depend upon the information entered by the user and assumptions relating to matters such as:
- labour rates;
- number of operators;
- shifts;
- working hours;
- production days;
- machine cost;
- operating costs; and
- production requirements.
Calculated savings or payback periods are estimates and are not financial advice, a quotation, a contractual promise or a guarantee of actual savings.
Users should verify their own costs, assumptions and commercial circumstances before making an investment decision.
7. Changes to products and information
We continually develop and improve our machinery.
We may change product designs, components, specifications, appearance, features, availability or website content without notice.
Photographs and videos may show previous machine generations, optional equipment, customer-specific configurations or features which are not included as standard.
The specification contained in the relevant PiP quotation will take precedence over general website information.

In particular, users should not make equipment-selection, packaging-compatibility or production-performance decisions solely from general information displayed on the website.
